The Blue Motorcycle Drink is a delicious way to get buzzed. This pretty blue cocktail has a lot of alcohol and it goes down smooth. You will feel it.
Just one of these yummers can sneak up on you.
This drink is sort of a fraternal twin sister to the Long Island Tea drink.
The blue motorcycle recipe uses blue Curaçao and lemon lime soda rather than the cola and triple sec in the Long Island Tea.
This one has a refreshing bite of citrus. However, it’s sweet enough that sweet cocktail lovers enjoys it. Drink it poolside, make it for your next poker night, or a friend get together.
Or Make this blue beauty to clean out the wet bar. It’s a great cocktail recipe for using up the small bits at the bottom of the bottle. 🙂
There are those that know this drink as the Adios Mother F—– drink or more politely, the Adios drink. We prefer to call it the Blue Motorcycle.
I have no idea why anyone chose to name this after a motorcycle unless it’s about the morning after? Ever get run over by a motorcycle….?

Blue Motorcycle Drink:
This drink has FIVE alcohols in it. Getting the flavor blend correct is pretty much a matter of taste. The recipe calls for 1/2 oz. of all of them. That’s what we did and it turned out delicious.
You’ll want to go with silver tequila, white rum, and a good dry gin. We used citron absolut vodka to go with the lemon lime soda and really kick up the citrus flavors.
TIP: Do NOT shake the soda in with the alcohols. Apparently some people do and it goes all over when you open the shaker.
If you’re into cleaning up sticky booze and pop and drinking a rather flat drink…I guess you can shake it. But for that bright fizzy drink we all love shake the alcohols. Pour it over ice. NOW pour in your soda.
Much neater and fizzier.
I chose Daiquiri glasses to add a swish of class. But you can use whatever glasses you prefer. 12 oz. tall glasses are the right size for this cocktail.
