How can you make pizza with naan bread?
Making pizza using naan bread is actually very simple and can be a deliciously healthy meal depending on the ingredients you use. You can make this meal incredibly simple and quick by using a pre-made naan pizza bread or flatbread. These can be found in all major grocery stores.
You can also make your own, and the process is straightforward with only a handful of ingredients. The biggest thing you need is time to invest. We have a scrumptious yeasted flatbread style pizza dough that you can try with this naan bread pizza if you like.
Once your dough is baked, lather on your sauce of choice, favorite toppings, some creamy cheese, and bake it for about 10 minutes.
Do I need to pre-bake naan bread?
Naan bread pizza can be kept easy by using a pre-made naan bread for the pizzas. If you are using a pre-made naan bread you will not need to pre-bake it; just build your pizza and bake!
Using a store bought pizza sauce will also keep the time invested to a minimum, but, making your own is a sure way to bring incredible flavor to your naan bread pizza. Making your own sauces will also help to bring this meal into a healthy dinner category by cutting down on all of the extras found in pre-packaged foods.
Sugars, preservatives, added chemicals to prevent separation and increase shelf life are all extras that are not good for us and should be kept to a minimum in our diet as much as possible. You can also use a pesto sauce, or a simple olive oil drizzle in place of a red tomato based pizza sauce. Both of these are wonderful options for naan bread pizza.
