A group of my friends actually got in on the reopening of Las Vegas. They were SO excited and had a great time.

They came back with lots of good drinking stories. We missed it unfortunately.

Maybe that’s why this drink caught my eye. If you can’t be there make a Vegas bomb. It’s a showy, fun drink and makes a great splash. Just like Las Vegas.

Do Vegas Bombs get you Drunk?

Vegas Bombs are made up of 3 different kinds of liquor and can get you drunk. This cocktail has small amounts of alcohol in it, only amounting to 3/4 oz total. This is not a super strong cocktail, but any drink with alcohol in it has the ability to get you drunk. The caffeine from the Red bull mixed with the alcohol is also something to consider.

We recommend only drinking 1 Vegas Bomb in an evening. The caffeine content from 1 red bull is 111 mg in a standard 12 oz can. Know your caffeine and alcohol limits before choosing to have multiple Vegas Bomb drinks in an evening.

What is a “Bomb” in drinks?

The bomb in a drink is a shot that is dropped into a glass of liquid. There are lots of different types of bomb shot cocktails. However, they are all made up of a standard drink with a bomb shot dropped in. Traditionally when served a bomb shot, it is expected to be “chugged” quickly after dropping in the bomb shot.

What is a Vegas Bomb Made of?

• Crown Royal
• Peach Schnapps
• Malibu Rum
• Cranberry Juice
• Red Bull

These are the ingredients and brands we used. They blended very well. The shot is a pretty red that make a great visual counterpoint to the glass of red bull when you drop the shot.

This is a simple pour and drop shot. No need for a cocktail shaker. It all gets shaken together in the end. 🙂

If you want a really LARGE bomb you can try a double shot glass. Just keep the ingredients of the shot in proportion and you may need a bit of extra Red Bull to drop this larger glass.
